American pop star Katy Perry is reaching new heights — literally! The singer has become one of the first women in show business to take a suborbital flight into space.

The journey lasted just 11 minutes, but the emotions Katy experienced will stay with her forever. She flew aboard the New Shepard rocket by Blue Origin and spent several minutes in zero gravity, admiring Earth from over 100 kilometers above.

"It was magical! I didn’t just feel like a singer — I felt like part of the universe. Even in space, I wanted to sing Firework!" Katy told reporters after landing.

She was joined on board by a few other space tourists, but it was Katy’s star power that made this flight a true media sensation.

On Instagram, Katy shared her awe-inspiring experience with fans, writing:

“One day when you’re older, will YOU still look up in wonder?
Still processing this incredible journey
Thank you blueorigin and to my space sisters, taking up space AND making room in space for all – 143
See you on tour (when I come down, figuratively)”
Rumor has it she took a selfie with Earth in the background, which is already being prepped for magazine covers.

By the way, Katy has already joked that she’s working on a new album titled Out of This World — inspired by space and weightlessness.
