Back to Nevermore: Wednesday Returns - And This Time, She's Not Alone

Get your black dresses ready, ladies. Netflix is reopening the gates to the gothiest school in existence – and we’re already trembling with excitement (and just a tiny bit of fear).

Summer nights will never be the same again – Netflix has finally dropped the eerily beautiful teaser for Wednesday Season 2, and we’re already counting down the days until Part 1 premieres on August 6. Part 2 follows on September 3. Yes, this year, the pleasure will come in carefully measured doses – like the most exquisite torture Miss Addams would thoroughly enjoy.

If you thought Wednesday was peak weirdness, meet Pugsley, her younger brother (played by Isaac Ordonez), who’s now also a student at Nevermore. And no, he’s not just a gothic room accessory. He’s a new student, a new source of chaos, and possibly the school’s next “favorite,” if you catch our drift.

Wednesday’s sibling love, of course, is… unique – the teaser already shows new methods of, let’s say, “educational discipline.” While Wednesday battles serial killers, unlocks her psychic powers, and unravels family secrets, poor Pugsley is just trying to survive his first day. Adorable, right?

The cast brings just as much joy as Wednesday herself: Emma Myers returns as Enid (yes, the pastel unicorn werewolf combo), Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as the magnificent Morticia, Luis Guzmán as eccentric papa Gomez, and – our personal favorite – Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester. And of course, Thing (literally, the hand) is back. Without him, the show would be like a hand without a finger.

So go ahead and mark your calendars: August 6 and September 3.

No matter how old you are, whether you believe in the supernatural or just enjoy witty banter – Wednesday Season 2 promises to be absolutely epic. Just don’t forget: Nevermore doesn’t forgive weakness. Lucky for us, we’ve got none.
