"I Found Myself Again": How Gardening Changed Pamela Anderson's Life

Pamela Anderson — the star of Baywatch, a charismatic actress known for her impressive career and active social engagement. Gardening has become for Pamela much more than just a hobby — it’s a true spiritual rebirth, a source of strength and inner peace.

Pamela Anderson — the star of Baywatch, a charismatic actress known for her impressive career and active social engagement. But today, her new role isn’t in front of the cameras, but in the earth beneath her feet, among flowers and vegetables. Gardening has become for Pamela much more than just a hobby — it’s a true spiritual rebirth, a source of strength and inner peace.

In an interview with Architectural Digest España, the actress confessed, “Dirty hands and walking barefoot reconnect me with who I truly am.” These simple acts bring her back to her roots — both literally and symbolically. Her family originates from Vancouver, where her parents began their life together and where her children took their first steps. After many years of traveling and creative work, Pamela returned to this place to deeply reconnect with herself and nature.

Her farm stretches across nearly three hectares of volcanic soil, creating unique conditions for plant growth. Here grow roses of the Yves Piaget variety, wild rose hips that Pamela uses to make cosmetic oils, as well as physalis, beets, lettuce, and radishes — all not just for decoration, but as an extension of life, a daily ritual of care and love. Particularly precious to her are the plants that grew alongside her children — pieces of memory and family history.

Pamela draws inspiration from British gardener Monty Don, whose poetic descriptions of nature influenced her own view of gardening. The secret gardens of Versailles and Japanese garden culture, introduced to her by her children during trips with their father, also played an important role in shaping her style. “We share the same passion but different styles,” Pamela laughs. “I don’t like straight lines. If something looks perfect, someone else probably planted it.”

This garden is not just a place to grow plants. It is a symbol of change, renewal, and self-acceptance. Pamela compares it to her own life: “Every year, you can transplant, change, improve.” And through this process, she truly found herself again — strong, inspired, and happy.
