This unique partnership is inspired by the bold chili and fruit sauce shades beloved by Tajín fans, as well as Rare Beauty’s philosophy: simplicity, naturalness, and confidence.

As part of this limited-edition collection, two new shades of the brand’s iconic products were launched: Soft Liquid Blush and Positive Light Luminizing Lip Gloss. The new blush, called “Chamoy”, is a deep red-brown tone inspired by the Mexican dried fruit sauce. It gives the cheeks a striking flush while remaining lightweight and radiant, as if you’d just returned from a sunny stroll.

The “Clásico” lip gloss in the new collection mirrors Tajín’s classic shade — a rich terracotta with copper and gold flecks. It not only hydrates and nourishes the lips but also gives them a dazzling shine that lifts your mood and draws attention.

In creating this collaboration, Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez drew inspiration from her Mexican heritage. “This collab is a celebration of what makes us unique: our culture, our energy, and the moments that bring us together. Just like Tajín, these shades bring boldness, warmth, and a spark of joy to every occasion,” Gomez said in a press release.

But Rare Beauty and Tajín aren’t just about beauty. In honor of the collaboration, the brand will make a donation to the National School of Ceramics, co-founded by Tajín, to preserve the legacy of Mexican ceramic artists. Additionally, as usual, 1% of sales will go to the Rare Impact Fund, supporting young people’s mental health, and the brand will also contribute to Latinx Therapy, which works to destigmatize mental health in the Latinx community.
