Zendaya is proving once again that sportswear doesn’t have to look like workout gear. Together with On, she has unveiled her second collaborative collection, bringing technical pieces, bold prints and action-movie aesthetics together in one wardrobe.
If you think of a tracksuit as something you only wear on the way to the gym, Zendaya is ready to change your mind. Her latest collaboration with On turns functional clothing into a fully-fledged part of the urban wardrobe — with character, drama and the kind of Hollywood confidence the actress knows how to pull off better than most.
This marks the second collection created by Zendaya and On with the involvement of the actress’s longtime stylist and creative collaborator, Law Roach. This time, the goal wasn’t simply to add a few fashionable details to sportswear, but to build an entire aesthetic around it.
The campaign for the new collection was shot as an action-packed short film. The directing trio Pantera was behind the project, with Zendaya naturally taking center stage.
The concept is simple yet striking: instead of presenting the clothes in a static studio shoot, the campaign puts them in motion. Running, dynamic movement, changing looks and a constant sense of momentum highlight the collection’s defining feature — it is designed for an active lifestyle without looking overly sporty.
The result is a lineup of pieces that feel just as natural in the city, on a trip, on a plane or at a spontaneous get-together with friends as they do during a workout.
The most eye-catching detail in the collection is a custom print inspired by the texture of snakeskin.
The pattern appears across several pieces, including a bodysuit, a fitted long-sleeve top and a half-zip anorak.
The print gives the sporty silhouettes a much bolder attitude. Where traditional sportswear often leans toward minimalism, Zendaya and On introduce a more daring, predatory edge. It’s a perfect example of how a single detail can completely transform the character of an outfit.
For those who aren’t quite ready to become the heroine of an action movie, the collection also offers more understated options. Oversized sweatshirts and sweatpants feature subtle ruching and adjustable bungee cords.
This allows the silhouette to be customized to suit the wearer: make it more voluminous or, conversely, gather the fabric to emphasize the figure.
However, it’s the footwear that attracts the most attention in the new collection.
Zendaya and On have introduced the new Cloudnova Moon Mary Jane — an unusual fusion of technical sports footwear and the silhouette of classic Mary Jane shoes.
In other words, this isn’t simply another pair of sneakers. The model retains the signature functionality of sports footwear while taking on a much more feminine, fashion-forward appearance.
The upper is made from technical knit, while the design is finished with On’s signature speed laces. Its low-profile silhouette makes the model particularly versatile — it’s easy to imagine it styled with wide-leg jeans, track pants or even a dress.
At launch, the Cloudnova Moon Mary Jane comes in three colorways: Clove/Ivory, Dew/Antler and Black/Ivory.
Interestingly, the actress’s second collaboration with On continues a trend that has been reshaping women’s wardrobes more and more in recent years.
Sportswear no longer wants to remain exclusively sporty.
Leggings are paired with blazers. Sneakers are worn with skirts. Technical jackets are appearing in outfits that, just a few years ago, would have called for a classic coat. And now sporty silhouettes are being combined with elements of eveningwear and high-fashion aesthetics.
Zendaya is particularly well suited to this approach. Her style has long been built around contrasts: femininity and masculinity, classicism and futurism, glamour and functionality.
That’s why her collaboration with On feels like a natural continuation of her fashion journey.
Perhaps the best compliment you can give this collection is a very simple one: you want to wear it beyond your workout.
The bodysuit can be styled with wide-leg trousers. The fitted top works under an oversized blazer. The anorak pairs perfectly with denim. An oversized sweatshirt can be worn with a skirt or shorts.
And the new Mary Janes have every chance of becoming that go-to pair of shoes you reach for when you want to look stylish without having to suffer for it.
And perhaps that’s one of the best things about modern fashion: comfort no longer needs to be justified.
The second collaborative collection from Zendaya and On launched on October 1, 2026. It is available online, at On stores worldwide and in special pop-up spaces in Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and Chengdu.
This time, Zendaya and On have offered more than just a sportswear capsule. They have created an entire formula for the modern wardrobe: technology, freedom of movement, a touch of provocation and enough character to make even an ordinary trip outside feel like the beginning of a new movie.
And if the fashion of the future really is heading in this direction, it seems we may no longer have to choose between looking good and feeling comfortable.
We can have both. Preferably, in true Zendaya style.
