British singer Adele recently revealed that she has partially lost her hearing due to a rare ear infection.
This surprising news came during her concert in Las Vegas on October 25, where she opened up about her health struggles.
Adele shared that she contracted the infection while living in Munich in August, experiencing significant discomfort and pain. As a result of the infection, she lost some hearing in her left ear. The singer also mentioned that her initial treatment involved incorrect antibiotics, which delayed her recovery. "I’ve never had an ear infection before. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever been through. It was worse than childbirth; it's really hard to treat. I took the wrong antibiotics for a few days, and then I was given the right ones," she explained.
Fortunately, Adele reported feeling much better now and is no longer suffering from severe pain. However, the experience was deeply distressing for her, leading her to contemplate drastic measures to alleviate her suffering, saying at one point she "wanted to cut off her ear."
During the same concert, Adele was emotionally moved by the presence of a fellow singer, Celine Dion, who is battling serious health issues. The two shared a touching moment that brought them to tears.
