On the night of September 29-30, the premiere of the grand biopic "Maria", about the opera singer Maria Callas, took place at the New York Film Festival. The lead role was played by Angelina Jolie.

For this occasion, the star walked the red carpet in a white dress reminiscent of a Greek chiton – a tribute to the Greek-born Callas. She was accompanied by three of her six children – Pax, Zahara, and Maddox.

Pax Thien Jolie, Angelina Jolie, Zahara Marley Jolie, and Maddox Chivan Jolie smiled and happily posed for photographers at the New York Film Festival alongside their famous mother.

At the event, Angelina shared how her children supported her during the filming. "They just said, 'No matter what, mom... we wish you success, and we know how hard you've worked, and we love you.'"

Jolie mentioned that her sons were often on set. "They saw how I was learning to sing, how I was rehearsing, how nervous I was. They were there when I, scared, sang for the first time, and they were there when I cried... During this time, we grew closer in a different way."

"Maria" has become one of the most anticipated films of 2024. The film, directed by Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín, was first screened at the Venice Film Festival in early September.

It tells the story of the legendary opera singer Maria Callas at the end of her career, showing her dramatic past, attempts to shine again in the opera world, and emotional experiences. For the 49-year-old Angelina Jolie, this project is special – it marks her return to cinema after a five-year break.
