When a Hollywood star decides to openly talk about their personal life, fans hold their breath. That’s exactly what happened this time: Dakota Johnson, the actress known for the Fifty Shades of Grey film series, gave an interview to Elle magazine where she shared her emotions, thoughts on love, and the struggles she faced on her path to success.

Last year, Dakota Johnson’s name was at the center of heated discussions: insiders hinted at a possible breakup between the actress and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, to whom she was engaged. The couple chose not to comment on the rumors, leaving fans guessing. But yesterday, the actress finally decided to reveal some personal details.

Dakota candidly admitted that she never used dating apps and never went on casual dates. “I have never dated anyone. I’ve had boyfriends, but I’ve never used dating apps. I just don’t know that world. It’s the most beautiful part of humanity, but it can also be the most terrible,” the actress explained.

Speaking about feelings, Dakota revealed that love, for her, is one of the most terrifying and at the same time wonderful experiences. “Loving someone is the scariest and most beautiful thing one can experience,” she shared. It seems that this honesty and openness are exactly what make her one of today’s most beloved actresses.

But Johnson’s life wasn’t always so glamorous. She recalled dreaming of attending the prestigious Juilliard School in New York – one of the most renowned art institutions in the world. However, after the first audition, she was never called for a second round. It was a huge disappointment. “I graduated from high school and applied only to Juilliard, but I wasn’t accepted. That terribly awful and frightening process was simply unbearable,” the actress recalled.

After being rejected by the university, Dakota faced financial challenges. At the beginning of her career, making a living was tough, and in her most difficult moments, her parents – actors Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson – helped her out. “There were times when I went to the market and had no money in my account or couldn’t pay rent, and I had to ask my parents for help – I’m really grateful for their support,” Johnson confessed.

Today, Dakota is a successful actress and a style icon, but her journey to success was far from easy. Perhaps it is her vulnerability and honesty that inspire fans around the world, reminding them that even stars go through tough times before shining brightly in the Hollywood sky.
