Deva Cassel is not just the daughter of iconic Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel. She confidently follows her own path, exploring both cinema and fashion despite constant comparisons to her famous parents. In a new interview with Madame Figaro, the 20-year-old actress spoke about her family's influence, her love for cinema, and a romance that began on set.

The series The Leopard, in which Deva plays the wealthy heiress Angelica, is about to premiere on Netflix. However, the actress admits that questions about her appearance and comparisons with her parents can sometimes be overwhelming. "I was asked what my life would be like if I weren’t beautiful. How can you even answer such a question? I love transformations – in cinema and fashion, I enjoy becoming unrecognizable," says Cassel.

Deva practically lives out of a suitcase, splitting her time between Paris, Rome, and Rio de Janeiro. She grew up attending an international school and speaks fluent French, Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese, making her feel at home anywhere in the world. "To me, home is about people, not a place," the actress admits.

While working on The Leopard, Deva met actor Saul Nanni. She was the one to make the first move: "We barely spoke, and I felt a certain chill. So, I invited him for a drink. Over time, we were drawn to each other, and when I left for two weeks, I realized I missed him. When I returned, our love story ignited, and we’ve been together ever since."

Despite her "inherited talent," Deva long resisted acting, preferring a modeling career. "I was tired of everyone knowing my future better than I did! I didn’t want to act just because my parents are actors," she says. However, over time, her opinion changed. "Yes, doors open more easily, but once inside, you have to prove yourself. I know what a public career entails, but sometimes I’d like to live without fame."

Deva Cassel is not trying to copy her parents – she is building her career on her own terms. Her journey in cinema is just beginning, but it’s already clear that she is not just "Bellucci and Cassel’s daughter" but a strong, ambitious young woman ready for major roles.
