Love That Began with a Glance: The Story of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz

Sometimes, all it takes to know who your person is is a single look. Sometimes, you have to wait years, go through doubts, relationships with other people, and unexpected twists of fate. The story of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz is exactly that. And for the first time, they’ve shared it themselves—honestly, sincerely, and tenderly.

Spring 2017, Coachella Festival. Crowds of people, loud music, wind in their hair. That’s where Brooklyn first saw Nicola. He already had a girlfriend. She had a boyfriend. But the moment still happened.

“She was stunningly beautiful, but what really caught me was her warmth and energy. It was a moment—and that’s it—but I’ve never forgotten it,” Brooklyn admits in an interview for Glamour, posing on the cover with Nicola.

Two years passed. Halloween 2019. A party at Leonardo DiCaprio’s place. Nicola asked Brooklyn to help her friend get into the event. He didn’t hesitate for a second. Two days later—first kiss. And then everything took off at a dizzying speed.

“That’s when everything really started,” Nicola smiles.
“Three months after we started dating, I already knew I wanted to marry her,” Brooklyn adds.

Exactly six months after their romance began, they got engaged. In 2022, despite COVID and restrictions, the couple had a lavish wedding with both families present. They made a joint decision to take a double-barreled surname—Peltz-Beckham.

“That was important to me. Especially as a woman. If you don’t want to give up your surname completely, combining them is a great solution,” Nicola says.

Today, Nicola is actively developing her career as a director. Last year, she premiered her debut film and doesn’t plan to stop. Brooklyn, meanwhile, dreams of opening a restaurant in Los Angeles:

“I’d love to bring a bit of British culture here—for example, a place with great fish and chips. There’s nothing like that here yet.”
