In her interview with the magazine, Miley announced her upcoming album, Something Beautiful. She revealed that some of her main musical influences for this project are legends like Joni Mitchell and Madonna, as well as the inspiration she draws from her partner, Maxx Morando. Miley shared that she's been dedicated to studio work over the "past six or seven months" to create the album. She also opened up about her journey and how her early fame has impacted her life.

"Growing up in the spotlight made my experiences different from those of my peers," Miley said. "For a while, I felt like it made it harder to connect with others."

She continued, "I can connect with people now, and I feel like I’m a friend to everyone. But sometimes it's challenging for others to see past my history. Even though I can move past my public persona easily, it can be difficult for others to do the same."

Miley also gave credit to her mother, Tish Cyrus, for helping her stay grounded during her rise to fame. She recounted how her mother set boundaries even when Miley's career was taking off. For example, Tish insisted she get a modest car instead of a luxury vehicle as a teenager. "My mom told me I had to choose a car like my siblings—a reliable brand, nothing fancy," Miley said. "She didn't hesitate to take my phone away, even if I was paying the bill myself."
