If you think you know everything about clever heists and high-stakes plots, get ready for Lucky, the new limited series on Apple TV+, in which Anya Taylor-Joy plays a woman who doesn’t just follow the rules—she rewrites them. The premiere is set for July 15, 2026, and the first two episodes already promise a thrilling start.

Lucky Armstrong is a talented con artist, raised on the road by her father and mastering every nuance of deception. The series opens with a multimillion-dollar heist that goes catastrophically wrong. Despite the danger, Lucky manages to escape… and discovers she’s in possession of a winning lottery ticket worth $390 million.

But the story isn’t just about money. It’s a thriller with deep psychological character work, where every scene reveals internal conflicts, past traumas, and Lucky’s personal evolution.

Supporting Anya is a truly star-studded cast:

  • Annette Bening — multiple-time Oscar nominee;
  • Timothy Olyphant — master of the genre;
  • Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Drew Starkey — adding energy and intrigue.

The series is written by Jonathan Tropper, with creative direction from Tropper and Cassie Pappas. Anya Taylor-Joy herself serves as executive producer, overseeing the adaptation to ensure it remains sharp and full of twists, just like Marissa Stapley’s bestselling novel.
