If you thought “The White Lotus” had shown it all, think again. The fourth season of HBO’s acclaimed series is ready to surprise once more, and the biggest news is the star-studded expansion of the cast: Helena Bonham Carter, Chris Messina, and newcomer Marissa Long are joining the project.

After filming in Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, the show is set to bring its signature social satire to the Mediterranean coast and the heart of Paris. The main setting will be the Château de La Messardière in Saint-Tropez, a 19th-century palace transformed into a luxury hotel. Here, the week-long story will unfold, following wealthy tourists and the staff who make their stay flawless… yet chaotic at the same time.

The change in location promises to preserve the series’ trademark mix of luxury and tension. “The White Lotus” once again explores the conflicts between outward glamour and inner drama, examining social and cultural nuances through humor and irony.

Helena Bonham Carter is an actress capable of turning any role into an unforgettable event. Her addition to the project guarantees even more drama, wit, and unpredictable twists. Chris Messina, known for his complex and layered characters, brings dynamic energy and intrigue. And Marissa Long, making her television debut, promises to be one of the season’s standout discoveries.

They join previously announced cast members: Steve Coogan, Alexander Ludwig, AJ Michalka, and Caleb Jonte Edwards, making season four a true star-studded ensemble.

As always, Mike White serves as the sole writer, director, and executive producer. He continues to explore the “messy” dynamics between wealthy vacationers and the staff, creating a unique blend of satire, drama, and dark humor.

Filming will begin in April 2026 and run through October, covering multiple locations along the French Riviera. The premiere date has not yet been announced, but fans are already gearing up for a new dive into a world of luxury, intrigue, and comic catastrophes — the classic “White Lotus” in a European setting.
