Zendaya Returns: First Look at "Euphoria" Season 3 and Key Plot Details

HBO has finally given Euphoria fans the long-awaited first look at Zendaya in the third season — and it promises to be truly exciting. The series now takes place five years after the end of season two, with the main character Rue in Mexico, trying to pay off a debt to Laurie (Martha Kelly) while coming up with some very unexpected ways to settle it.

But Rue isn’t the only one who’s changed over the years. Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) and Nate (Jacob Elordi) are engaged and preparing for their wedding, which, according to series creator Sam Levinson, will be an “unforgettable night.” Cassie remains highly focused on social media and struggles with jealousy over what seems to be the glamorous lives of her former classmates.

Meanwhile, Jules (Hunter Schafer) is attending art school, nervous about her career as a painter, and trying to avoid responsibility at all costs. Maddy (Alexa Demie) works at a talent agency in Hollywood, juggling her job with personal projects, while Lexi (Maude Apatow) becomes an assistant to a showrunner played by the iconic Sharon Stone.

Other beloved characters also return: Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Chloe Cherry, Dominic Fike, and many more, with viewers also getting special appearances from stars like Natasha Lyonne and Rosalía.

According to Levinson, five years after high school was the perfect time jump: the characters have finished college and entered adulthood. The creator is confident that this season will be the best in the show’s history, blending drama, style, and unexpected twists.
