Snoop Dogg's Daughter, Cori Broadus, Gives Birth to Baby Girl 3 Months Early

The rapper's daughter developed a rare pregnancy complication, which ultimately led to her giving birth at 25 weeks.

On March 1, the rapper's only daughter, Cori Broadus, shared the news on Instagram that she and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, became parents to their first child. The 25-year-old Broadus revealed that she gave birth to her baby girl three months early, at only 25 weeks.

"The princess arrived at 6 months," Broadus captioned a black-and-white photo of her newborn's foot. "I've cried and cried, I've compared and compared, blaming myself because I couldn't give her everything she needed. But no matter what, God always shows me that He supports me!"

"Baby girl came at 25 weeks, and she's the best!! Thank you, God, for getting me this far," she continued, adding the hashtags "#nicubaby" and "#25weeks."

Broadus shared more details on her Instagram Stories, revealing that she gave birth via cesarean section.

Along with a photo of herself lying on what appeared to be an operating table, she wrote, "First C-section was a success :) Thank you, God, for this."

In a follow-up post, Broadus shared a photo from her hospital bed and recalled what led to her baby's birth.

"Yesterday, I went to the doctor thinking I just had a bad case of gas... but all this time, I was developing 'HELLP SYNDROME,' which is very serious and can lead to death if untreated," she wrote.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, HELLP Syndrome is "a very rare pregnancy complication that mainly affects your blood and liver," and it is related to preeclampsia. The acronym stands for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes, and Low Platelet count.

"The doctors told me thank you for coming, and if I had waited a few more days, it would have been really bad," she continued.

She concluded her post with a message to other women, writing, "Ladies, please listen to your bodies and don't believe everything you see on TIKTOK (I'm talking to myself, quietly)."

Broadus' mother, Shante, commented on her daughter's post: "My Berri ," she wrote. Snoop, meanwhile, reshared an Instagram post about the news in his Stories.

Broadus is the youngest child of Snoop and Shante. The couple also has sons Corde (30) and Cordell (28), and Snoop is also a father to son Julian (26) from a previous relationship.

Broadus' baby girl makes Snoop a grandfather for the eighth time. He has three grandchildren from his son Cordell — Cordoba (5), Chateau (3), and Symphony (almost two) — and is also a grandfather to his son Corde's four children: Zion (10), Elleven (6), Sky (4), and Kai, who tragically passed away just 10 days after birth in 2019.
