Kendall Jenner is back in the spotlight—this time as the face of Chloé’s new advertising campaign. The brand is paying tribute to one of its iconic pieces: the Paddington bag, recently reimagined and relaunched under the creative direction of Chomene Kamali.
The Paddington is more than just an accessory. When it first appeared, it caused a sensation with its distinctive shape, bold side buckles, and prominent lock, quickly becoming recognizable and highly sought after. In the new version, Kamali preserved its iconic silhouette while rethinking the details: the leather has been specially tanned, the hardware is lighter, a customizable shoulder strap was added, and a practical zip closure completes the design.
“I wanted to show the Paddington as it is today: spontaneous, not precious, a bag that has become part of women’s lives, carrying both intimacy and individuality,” Kamali explains.
The campaign is more than just a beautiful photoshoot—it’s a true artistic project. For its creation, Kamali enlisted French director Mati Diop, winner of the 2019 Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix for her debut film Atlantique. Diop shot a short film on celluloid in the spirit of 1970s French cinema, with each scene radiating lightness, ease, and the subtle magic of everyday life.
In addition to Kendall Jenner, the shoot featured model and actress Amy Lou Wood and K-pop singer Anna. Behind the camera was renowned photographer David Sims, whose work is always infused with a deep understanding of fashion and feminine aesthetics.
Chloé’s new campaign is more than just an advertising project: it’s a reminder of how fashion can be both iconic and personal. Today, the Paddington bag symbolizes freedom, style, and confidence, and Kendall Jenner perfectly embodies the spirit of the modern woman, for whom an accessory is not a status symbol but a part of her life story.
