While there is some truth to this, it's important to remember that not much research has been conducted on this drink, so its scientific benefits are difficult to confirm 100%. Nevertheless, dietitians and doctors say there are several compelling reasons to drink it, according to Mindbodygreen.

“If you’re not drinking enough fluids, everything else you do to support your health, such as diet, exercise, stress management, and sleep control, may be in vain,” said integrative physician Dana Cohen.
